Fonterra to condemn executions?
Human rights groups are demanding that Fonterra and the New Zealand government to condemn the executions in China over the contaminated milk saga.
State sanctioned executions are never good, and sympathy for the familes affected is natural. Maybe the NZ govt and Fonterra should condemn the executions. In my opinion, Fonterra should be taking more responsibility for the whole affair, and the way I see it, Fonterra management have blood on their hands.
Of course, Fonterra are a massive player in the global dairy industry, and are hardly likely to take notice of a solitary blogger, but it WAS known that the dodgy contamination practises were occuring and company anagement could have acted sooner to clamp down on it.
Fonterra is collectively owned by thouands of dairy farmers who each should be ashamed at their own greed which has, directly or indirectly, had some part in the execution of two chinese men.
Condemn corporate greed I say.
